Simkin backed to work with ‘unpleasant’ budget

New Dorchester Town joint-chairman Neal Butterworth has described next season’s playing budget as a “pretty unpleasant reality” but backed boss Phil Simkin to meet the challenges a reduction in finances present. The Magpies’ manager will have £2,500 a week to play with compared to £3,500 last term – a cut of £40,000 over the whole of the campaign.

Butterworth confirmed to Echosport that the £100,000 budget for the 2013/14 season covers wages, PAYE and National Insurance contributions. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Season and Match-Day Ticket Prices 2013-14

clubcrestcolour1 New match-day and season ticket prices for next season.

As expected, ticket prices have risen very slightly on last season, but the club is confident that prices are still among the lowest and most competitive in the Conference South.

An Early Bird scheme will be in place, offering huge discounted prices on all ticket sales purchased up to and including Sunday, June 30th.

Match Day Prices 2013/14

Adults all areas (excluding v/p area) – £12.00
Concessions (over 60′s) all areas (excluding v/p area) – £8.00

A new era begins at the Avenue

new-trust-logo1The first major step towards the Magpies becoming a community-owned club is expected to be finalised today with half of Shaun Hearn’s majority shareholding being transferred to the Dorchester Town FC Community Trust.

The new era will rely heavily on the support of the fans and the local community as Dorchester Town FC bid to adopt a more sustainable model of ownership.

Dorchester Town FC Community Fun Day

A community fun day organised by the Dorchester Town Football Club, Dorchester Town FC Community Trust and Dorchester Town Youth FC. A fantastic community fun day out for the whole family is promised.

There will be a dog show, bouncy castles for all ages, children’s rides, local crafts and stalls, mini soccer tournament, refreshments, a bar serving real ales, fine food and much more.

All the fun starts at 10am on Sunday May 26th 2013 at the Great Field, Poundbury. Dorchester.
